  1967 D-28 with very straight grained Brazilian rosewood back and sides, early enough to still have a small maple bridge plate. Great, beautifully aged lacquer gives the whole guitar a much older, richer look: this one's got all the mojo. Action is fairly high - good candidate for a neck reset, but the neck is very healthy / very straight. Replacement pickguard with a cleated hairline to the outside edge and one miniscule hairline in the bass side waist; this one traverses a couple of reinforcement strips ( standard construction feature) so doesn't present any problem.

  The Martin Custom Shop offered this gorgeous 24.9" scale CS-0041-15 in 2015, limited to 75 guitars. Striking Cocobolo back and sides and an Adironcack Spruce top, combined with Martin's Vintage Tone System & delicately scalloped 1/4" top bracing, delivers a high performance, complex and vibrant tone. Premium inlay techniques were used for the Cocobolo headstock overlay and the back. Body is bound with Hawaiian flamed Koa trim and Style 41 abalone inlay, as is the rosette.  Specially designed delicate concave ribbon inlays in abalone, mother of pearl, and mahogany adorn the ebony fingerboard. 
 Martin's Vintage Tone System - new at the time - enables a unique process of "historic" torrefaction which allows Martin to age the top / braces to recreate the tonality of the best of their vintage guitars from Martin's golden era.  Deluxe Martin hard shell case included. The guitar is very light weight, plays amazingly, is in virtually unplayed condition, & the sound is amazing.

  Biggest necks on rosewood 'board Strats are late '62 - early '63 and this one has a manly neck for sure. I had Joe Knaggs do a nitro refinish on the body about 30 years ago, looks even better in person. Had to buff out some overspray on the headstock, you can still see some of it. Great refret, this one's a great player. It's also unusually good sounding -black bottom pickups of course. Really nice retro white case.
