  • 2008 Dubourg Custom Brand New, Original Hard, Call For Price!

Guitar SHE'S BACK; we just received this guitar, back in stock and for sale again. Unique, custom built flat top by master luthier Ken Dubourg, this one is made from European Alpine Spruce, and West Virginia Black Cherry which Ken harvested himself. This is a closed pore wood similar to red maple in structure, density, hardness and tonal properties, producing a rich, glassy, focused sound that has plenty of shimmer and definition, yet hangs together for a very smooth, even tonal palette. Other choice woods used in construction of this instrument include rosewood, ebony, maple and Cocobolo. The French polish finish, comprised of many very thin, hard layers of shellac applied over a period of months, further enhances the resonance and responsiveness of the guitar. Bozo Podunavac was Ken's mentor and his guitars have been used by noted artists including Michael Hedges and Mike Dawes. With prices starting at $6,000. there is a lengthy waiting list for new construction and these instruments rarely surface on the used market, speaking of which, this one remains in brand new condition.

  • 1952 Fender Telecaster Very Good, Hard, Call For Price!

Guitar This has got to be the ultimate in Keith Richards tribute; original 1952 Fender Telecaster ( Keith's main guitar is his early '50's Tele which he calls 'Macawber' ), with the following modifications: The body was routed in both positions for humbuckers, then later the routes were filled back in and the face painted black. And then some talented artist apparently etched the paint to create this highly accurate likeness of Keith. Other than the face of the body, the finish is original and has about as much mojo as you'll ever see. A few changed parts but most are correct and original. It plays and sounds great - even with the filled routes the guitar is very, very resonant. Comes with an equally worn, cool mid '50's Fender tweed case. The '59 Fender Twin Amp shown is not included in this sale, though you may want to snag it as well since it's the same model Keith uses and is loaded with the same Celestion speakers as Keith uses in his. Wire transfer on this one, boys, and I'd prefer that you pick it up in person.
