Outstanding late 70's "Tele Thinline" by storied Hollywood pro shop Performance Guitar. Everyone who was anyone used these guys for guitar maintenance, repair, and modification, in addition to the exceptional guitars they built to order for many of the best studio and touring musicians in LA, and as far as I know they're still at it. Very tight neck pocket fit, thick solid maple top, and just over 6 pounds. The pickups are the other half of the story on this guitar - an original matched set of the elusive and killer Velvet Hammer pickups made by well known LA session pedal steel player Red Rhodes, with an impressive proprietary circuit and conforming route at bottom of cavity to accommodate the pots and wiring. When the guitar was offered to me I figured if the pickups were good enough for Clarence White, Steve Vai, Joe Walsh, Frank Zappa, and James Burton I couldn't go wrong, turns out the guitar and pickups are beyond great. Call for price.
